Research in nuclear
physics focuses on 2 main areas:
the study of excited states which live longer than the
norm (so-called isomeric states)
the study of the influence of isospin on states in nuclei
which have the same numbers of protons and neutrons.
The group consists of gamma-ray experimentalists who work
at laboratories around the world.
The work is funded by grants from EPSRC.
